There is increasing demand for certified products and materials. Consumers want higher standards from the products they buy, and manufacturers want to make sure they can verify sustainability practices in their supply chain.

The session will focus on traceability, best practice in the supply chain and importance of full life cycle impact data to access sustainability and circularity of fibres and of course high quality products.

Mindful Fashion New Zealand and RawAssembly Australia have joined forces to bring this information series to the industry at large.

Kara Hurry

Kara Hurry was previously Marketing Director of iconic Australian brand R.M.Williams, leading the rebrand and roll out in USA and UK. Prior to this she led communications for Louis Vuitton Oceania, launched Brooks Brothers in Australia, was a founding member of the Australian Fashion Council, led marketing across the Northern Hemisphere for The Woolmark Company and drove global marketing in the cycling and running industry. She is a current board member for the Australian Fashion Foundation and East 33 (Sydney Rock Oysters). Kara currently leads global marketing and strategic partnerships for FibreTrace, as well as helming her own boutique marketing agency Entente. In this session Kara will talking about FibreTrace its connection to the wool industry, the importance of traceability across all of our fibres today and what she thinks the future of the wool industry might look like.

Jordi is the senior Innovation manager at Icebreaker, located in New Zealand. Jordi has a proven background in commercial application of innovation practices. With over 13 years experience in the sporting goods industry, in a capacity of internal entrepreneur, innovation manager and Senior project manager. Jordi will share insights to icebreakers traceability journey and the importance of creating transparent, ethical and traceable products.
