Families in Crisis: Safe Sleep and Other Basic Needs for Newborns

Event Description:
When family is in crisis at the same time they deliver a newborn, life can feel pretty stressful. What happens when they have no funds, but also no support of family, a community or others to give them the essential items needed to keep their baby safe and healthy? What are those items? And what is “safe sleep” for any newborn, even when aa family is financially sound? And why is it so critical to give these families information and safe sleep options?

Presenter: Deborah O'Halloran, Second Stork Co-founder & President
Deb O'Halloran is a co-founder of Second Stork and an active contributor in all areas of SECOND STORK’S daily operations. She has led Second Stork from partnering with two Twin Cities hospitals to now partnering with over 100 hospitals in Minnesota and Wisconsin, helping over 3000 families a year. She has over 25 years of executive level experience in publicly held companies, with expertise that spans marketing, communications, product management, human resources, and finance. She has served on several non-profit boards, chaired financial committees, and spearheaded fundraising events for human services and educational organizations.
