When patients are missing multiple teeth in the anterior maxilla, we must be cognizant of the soft tissue loss as well. We have options to restore these missing teeth with natural tooth bridges, implants with bridges, or removable partial dentures. We can graft to develop lost tissue structure, but we can also resect to hide transition lines when indicated.
• Review the options for missing multiple teeth in the esthetic zone
• Realize the improvements from hard and soft tissue grafting
• Understand that resection has a place at the treatment planning table as well
• Consider providing one solution now with plans for another that will come later
