Waste, Worms, & Wonder
In the United States, 40% of the food we buy goes to waste. Imagine buying 5 bags of groceries, and by the time you’ve gotten to the car you’ve dropped two of them on the ground. Most food waste is landfilled or incinerated, creating methane gas which is a major contributor to the climate crisis.

In this webinar with composting experts Jean Bonhotal of Cornell Waste Management Institute, Shabazz Jackson and Josephine Papagni of Greenway Topsoil, Dallas McCann of White Feather Farm in Saugerties, and moderated by Catskill Mountainkeeper's Kate Hagerman, we’ll discuss the hows and whys of composting, and the important role composting can play in reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.

The webinar will be closed captioned for greater accessibility.
