The DWP Approach to Supply Chain Security Assurance– Helen Collier, Supply Chain Security Lead

Helen has had an extensive career in the Civil Service. Originally providing front line services to the public Helen moved into security over 10 years ago and was a Security Accreditor working on some of the governments' major transformational programs. With the increased concern around risk in the supply chain, Helen moved to focus solely on supply chain security assurance in 2017. Since that time she has been instrumental in establishing an overarching framework, aligned to industry best practice to ensure the hundreds of DWP Suppliers have robust proportionate security controls embedded within their contracts that are periodically reviewed. The model has been recognised by NCSC as a driver for cross-government transformational change in this area.
