For the last 15 years thinkingplace has been at the forefront of helping places realise their potential, manage change, create a shared sense of purpose, widen leadership and promote collaboration. On the occasion of our 15th birthday we want to invite you to our inaugural annual Place Perspective event when, together with yourselves, we address the key issues facing our places today.
Place has become an ever more dominant aspect of life in recent years and Coronavirus has amplified that. Alongside this have come the major change factors of online shopping, advances in technology, climate change, Brexit and what seems like irreversible changes to working patterns; when it comes to place we have crossed the rubicon.
What will our places look and feel like in years to come?
What will be happening in them?
Will cities still be powerhouses?
What will the relationship be between urban centres and rural hinterlands?
There could never be a more relevant time to commence this initiative and we’re delighted that joining John Till, our Founding Director, are two of the leading thinkers and practitioners of all things place: Professor Martin Reeves, CEO of Coventry City Council and Professor Cathy Parker, Co-Chair of the Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University and Research Lead for the High Streets Task Force.
Given the importance of the discussion, if you want to submit a question to the panel in advance please do by emailing email@example.com.
