This November, Tim and Brittyn will facilitate an exploration of how those in supervisory roles can support the continuing education and professional development of those in peer specialist roles.
About this Event:
Our CPS/CPPS Supervisors' Community of Practice is a gathering for peer supervisors of Certified Peer Specialists and Certified Parent Peer Specialists to learn and grow together.
In March of 2020, the Wisconsin Peer Specialist Employment Initiative launched a monthly Community of Practice gathering for Certified Peer Specialists and Certified Parent Peer Specialists.
In the first few gatherings a need was identified for another Community of Practice specifically for those providing supervision to CPS or CPPS.
This Community of Practice is for individuals who can say both of the following:
1. I have worked as a Certified Peer Specialist, Certified Parent Peer Specialist, or in a similar peer role and have my own lived experience.
2. I also supervise other Certified Peer Specialists or Certified Parent Peer Specialists in Wisconsin.
If the above is true for you, please join us as we seek to learn and grow together how to improve professional peer support services in Wisconsin!
Please note: This Supervisors' Community of Practice gathering will not earn attendees CEHs for recertification purposes.
