As Ukraine and Canada approach the anniversary of their diplomatic relationship, we are joined by Ukraine's Ambassador Yuliya Kovaliv to discuss the current situation in Ukraine, Russia's war there and the Canadian government's support to Kyiv. We will also talk about President Zelensky’s detailed 10-point peace formula and what needs to be done.

Prior to joining the Embassy Ambassador Kovaliv held the position of Deputy Head of Office of the President of Ukraine in charge of economic policy development. She also served as the Deputy Chair of the Supervisory Board of the National State-Owned oil and gas company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, the Deputy Secretary of the National Investment Council of Ukraine and was a Member of the National Reform Council. Ambassador Kovaliv also has an extensive background in Ukraine concerning privatisation reform, corporate governance of state-owned enterprises, investment policy, liberalization of the energy sector and energy security. She holds a Master of Economics degree from the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a Master of Public Administration degree from the National Academy for Public Administration.
