Artificial Intelligence in Ultrasound – The Future is Now!
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being implemented throughout many industries, from banking to healthcare. Yet, the imaging field is skeptical as to how it can be used. Is AI useful in medical imaging? What improvements can it bring? Is it good; how good? This course will define AI and key types of technology that make up AI, show how AI is applied to medical imaging, discuss determining benefit versus detriment of AI, and then show specific examples of AI already in use for breast, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound. The presentation will finish with a glimpse into future horizons made possible with AI.
