Reading the Bible from a Trans and Non-binary Perspective - A Conversation with Joy Ladin
In this talk, Joy Ladin will argue that trans and non-binary experience should be seen as central to religious traditions, because they are built around relating to someone, God, who, like us, doesn't have a body or identity that fits binary gender categories. All are welcome; neither prior knowledge of religion or Biblical texts, nor identifying as trans or non-binary, is required.

Joy Ladin is an American poet and the David and Ruth Gottesman Chair in English at Stern College for Women at Yeshiva University. She is also the first openly transgender professor at an Orthodox Jewish institution.
