Dan Pollock (Chief Digital Officer @Delta Think)
Dan is our Chief Digital Officer, based in London, UK. His strength lies in helping publishing companies successfully explore and exploit new digital opportunities, through his combination of commercial expertise and technical understanding.

Over the last 20 years, Dan has specialized in digital publishing strategy and product innovation for companies primarily in STM and Legal publishing. He has held executive leadership and strategic advisory roles, and senior positions managing products, operations and change in organizations ranging from dot-coms to complex corporates. His expertise includes the establishment of new business units and product management functions in large organizations, handling digital extensions to flagship brands, the implementation of analytics and social media practice and policies, business and price modeling, interfacing between business and technology functions, and strategic advisory services.

Heather Staines (Senior Consultant and Director of Community Engagement, OADAT @Delta Think)
Heather Staines has extensive experience in scholarly communications, supporting commercial and nonprofit publishers and service providers through global business development and community engagement. She brings broad experience in strategy and business model creation for established and startup level organizations, developing partnerships with content providers from every market segment. Her recent focus has been on open access, open source, and open infrastructure to better serve societies, university presses, and other players across books and journals. She has a long running interest in standards, identifiers, and metadata creation, working with knowledge bases, discovery services, linked data, and knowledge graphs.
