Learn how to make this flaky crispy treat from ‘scratch’ along with a delicious Cilantro Chutney.

Crispy Vegetable Samosas

For the crust:
5 flour tortillas (fajita size 6-7 inches)
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 tbsp water

For the filling:
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp carom seeds (optional)
2 tsp coriander seeds crushed
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)
1 serrano pepper chopped (optional)
1/2 tsp salt or as required
2 potatoes boiled and mashed
1/2 cup green peas

For frying:
4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Cilantro Chutney
2 small bunches cilantro, hard stems removed
1 serrano pepper
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
1/8 teaspoon chaat masala (optional)
Pinch black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup yogurt plain milk yogurt or plain almond milk yogurt
