Given the current difficult multiple realities of Fall 2020, managing from the middle is harder than ever before. Often pulled between advocating for your team, but also having to implement other leadership decisions, mid-managers have to switch back and forth between different ends of experience and power dynamics, while trying to simultaneously please two differing perspectives. Being a middle manager is hard during a “precendented” year, but add in a global pandemic that resulted in smaller staffs, new and changing roles, and constant uncertainty, it’s really hard. It’s very difficult to stay self-motivated, yet alone manage an (unmotivated) team. And, it's only September. Given resources - both financial and human - are on short supply, how do managers motivate staff members and leverage the capacity of their team?
This 15-minute personal story about motivating teams will be followed by 15-minutes of Q&A. The entire event is short, simply 30-minutes to take a break, learn, and connect with others.
