Data Orchestration | OpenLineage as a Standard
Data lineage is the concept of tracking and visualizing data from its origin to wherever it flows and is consumed downstream. It's an essential tool for data teams operating within distributed data ecosystems: data lineage can help with everything from understanding your data sources, to troubleshooting job failures, to ensuring compliance with data regulations. OpenLineage is the open source industry standard framework for data lineage. It defines a formalized specification for all of the core concepts related to data lineage, creating a more cohesive lineage experience and ensuring that lineage can adapt and grow as fast as the data industry. In this webinar, we'll cover how OpenLineage is used as a standard, the key role it plays in data orchestration, and how it naturally integrates with other open source tools like Apache Airflow.
