Prior to joining ESG, Doug held executive leadership positions at cloud and endpoint security firms where he launched market-leading products and established strategic partnerships. Over the course of his career, Doug has served in product management, marketing, and business development roles for storage management, networking, and database vendors, and started his career in IT as a business analyst. Doug has written for Dark Reading and The Cipher Brief and has been quoted in CyberTrend, The Wall Street Journal, CRN, Network World, and other publications.

Varun Badhwar is the SVP of Prisma Cloud Security Products & Engineering at Palo Alto Networks, where he brings over 14 years of experience helping organizations address their cloud security challenges. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, he was the founder and CEO of RedLock, a leader in cloud threat defense that Palo Alto Networks acquired in October 2018. Prior to that, Varun’s experience included founding a CASB company (CipherCloud) and spending 4 years leading the Force.com security team at Salesforce.com. Prior to salesforce.com, he was a Consultant within the Risk Advisory Services group at KPMG, where he advised Fortune 500 Clients on managing IT security and privacy, operational risks, and alignment with overall business strategy. Varun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
