Ted Stubbersfield
Timber Design Consultant @Deckwood Australia
Years of specialising in weather-exposed structures, observation of what has been successful (and failed), and with formal research projects have placed Edgar (Ted) Stubberesfield in a unique place in the Australian timber industry. Ted's expertise is sought by local and state government as well as professional designers who want to provide well specified, well detailed and will constructed bridges, boardwalks, decks and public landscaping. Ted is currently working on publishing his 21st book on timber. He also authors technical guides and executes CPD training in this area.
Lex Somerville
Reg Builder and Building Materials & Construction Consultant @BMCC Services & MacKenzie Consulting
Lex has over 40 years of experience in the construction and building materials industry. His hands-on experience as a building contractor contributed to his success as a Technical Consultant with the Timber Research & Development Council. Today Lex works as a consultant conducting inspections for a range of clients including TQ, the James Cook Cyclone Testing Station and a range of other associations and certifiers.
Andre Callanan
Senior Associate @BVN Architects
Andre is a Senior Associate at BVN and a registered Architect with over 20 years experience working in both locally and internationally focused practices. In the last 3 years Andre has worked on two Community Hub projects, Woollahra Library in Double Bay and Marrickville Library. He has been strategically involved in the evolution of the contemporary library and has a keen interest in how technology is changing spaces and the built environment. He is currently the Podium Lead for the Quay Quarter tower in Circular Quay.
