Charlotte Hollingworth
Executive Editor – Chemistry, Springer
Charlotte Hollingworth completed her PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Oxford in 2013. In that same year she joined Springer as a Journal Development Editor managing a portfolio of fully open access chemistry journals. In 2016 she moved to Heidelberg, Germany to handle the organic and inorganic journals and books at Springer, becoming a Senior Editor in 2017. As of 2019 she is the Executive Editor leading the global chemistry book team at Springer, publishing a wide range of book types including monographs, edited volumes, review series, textbooks and major reference. In 2020 she returned to the UK and is based in London.
Christoph Baumann
Editorial Director – Physics, Springer
Christoph Baumann graduated in Physics at University of Cologne, Germany. During his PhD studies, he worked at Cologne University, Parma University (Italy), and finally he received his PhD degree in Solid State Physics from RWTH Aachen University in 2004. He continued working in academia at the Leibniz-Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden – IFW Dresden – before he started his carreer as an academic publisher. Since 2005 Christoph Baumann is Editor for Engineering and Applied Sciences at Springer. He started as Associate Editor at Springer Heidelberg, Germany, succeeded the career path through Editor and Senior Editor. In 2012 he took over the responsibility for the editorial group on Physical Sciences in the newly started Singapore office, and started his position as Executive Editor in Singapore in 2015. In 2019, Christoph returned to Europe to take over the position “Editorial Director”, working out of Dordrecht (the Netherlands) as well as Cham (Switzerland).
Charles Glaser
Editorial Director - Applied Sciences, Springer
Charles Glaser, Editorial Director, graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy from Carleton College in 1983 and has been in the STEM publishing business ever since. He started his career as a field-based sales representative for a textbook publishing company and two years later became an acquisitions editor for the same company. His career path followed a progression through the ranks of Editorial, included a stint as the head of a Sales & Marketing team and he has managed staff globally from Editorial, Production, Sales & Marketing. He joined Springer in 2008 and began leading the Applied Sciences US team in 2013.
