A lecture by Alfonso Lucini, ambassador on Special Mission for Middle East and Mediterranean Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
A career diplomat, with destinations in the representations of Spain in Damascus and Canberra, Lucini was the ambassador of Spain in Rome, in Athens and to the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the EU in Brussels. He was director general of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Poet and translator, contributor to Revista de Occidente and other publications, he was co-director of the magazine Inventario.
In the framework of the series Aula Mediterrània 2020-2021 co-organised by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed-Barcelona) and several master's degrees.
Josep Ferré, director general of the European Institute of the Mediterranean, will be opening this new edition of the series.
The speaker will be introduced by Jacint Jordana, professor of Political Science and Public Administration, UPF, and director of IBEI.
