Patti Toews
Ms. Toews currently services as APTIM’s Waste Minimization Business Leader with over 17 years of experience on solid waste related issues in the public sector including zero waste, waste minimization, sustainable materials management, organic waste diversion, recycling, circular economy, and lifecycle assessments. Prior to joining APTIM, Ms. Toews was the Interim Executive Director/Deputy Director for the San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority (IWMA) in charge of administering and monitoring San Luis Obispo County’s seven (7) cities and (12) special districts state mandated solid waste, recycling and diversion, hazardous waste, extended producer responsibility, and sharps/pharmaceutical programs including the CalRecycle mandated county-wide planning elements and activities. Prior to joining with the IWMA, Ms. Toews worked as the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Fresno.
Amy Martinez
Amy Martinez serves as a Client Program Manager within APTIM's Compliance and Permitting Division, assisting commercial, industrial, and state and local clients to identify and implement innovative strategies and solutions on a variety of environmental compliance issues. Ms. Martinez has 15 years of experience in all aspects of environmental permitting and compliance with an emphasis on California environmental regulations. Her technical experience includes federal and state regulatory compliance assessments and audits; hazardous materials management; hazardous waste management; solid waste management; storm water management; air quality management; and spill prevention, control and countermeasure (SPCC) planning. Ms. Martinez has expertise in California Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBPs), interacting with the California Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs) and Air Quality Management Districts on behalf of clients, developing and executing waste characterization audits, and overse

Christian Dettman, CHA serves as a Client Relationship Manager for the Hospitality industry within APTIM's Compliance and Permitting Division, assisting commercial and state and local clients to identify and implement innovative strategies and solutions on a variety of environmental compliance issues and sustainability goals. Mr. Dettman has 20+ years of experience within the hospitality industry as a General Manager and Regional Manager for both branded and independent hotel companies. Having always focused on saving operational costs for his hotels, he has focused on assisting the hospitality industry towards a more sustainable future.
