Lynsey Burkins
Director of Professional Learning and Teacher Advocacy
Lynsey Burkins is an elementary educator from Central Ohio. Racial and Social Justice work has been her passion long before she started teaching. After completing her master's (2009) in language, literacy, and culture from The Ohio State University her work for critical literacy with young children has been a primary focus. She believes books are primary vehicles to help children become more free. Lynsey is currently the National Chair of NCTE’s Build Your Stack, an initiative that works to build teacher’s expertise in knowing and using quality literature in the classroom.
