August 5, 2020, 1-2 pm EDT, a live Q&A Zoom, open to all, offered to complement our Ecological Society of America Aug 2020 organized session (OOS #43) on the role of biodiversity in agroecosystems.
The ESA organized session https://eco.confex.com/eco/2020/meetingapp.cgi/Session/17290 will explore the relationship of multiple elements of biodiversity to agriculture in both row crops and grazing land agroecosystems. Topics are: 1) Is the importance of managing biodiversity in sustainable agroecosystems primarily related to enhancing agricultural production, or are there other important agroecosystem conservation goals? 2) How common are win-win scenarios for biodiversity and agricultural production? 3) What components of biodiversity typically win or lose in agroecosystems?
In this complementary Zoom meeting, organized by the USDA LTAR Biology group, the below speakers will give a 3-minutes lightning presentation, followed by a Q & A and Discussion. If you are interested in participating, please follow the link to register. Feel free to share this information with colleagues and students interested in this topic.
This will go for one hour in length, but can be extended by 30 min. if discussions go over one hour.
