Climate Returns: Episode 1

Welcome to the inaugural episode of Climate Returns, a livestream interview series where we discuss sustainability and climate tech investing with world-class investors.

Our first guest is Aaron Jacobson, Partner at NEA, who has been with the firm since 2011. He initially joined to split his time between energy and enterprise technology, gradually shifting focus to the latter as the first wave of cleantech lost steam. He’s since led early-stage investments in robotics, AI, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure. We’ll discuss climate tech investing, and whether the cool kids are returning to the sector after a 12 year hiatus.

In Episodes 2 and 3, we will welcome Sarah Tavel from Benchmark Capital and Nick Grossman from Union Square Ventures, respectively. Join us as we dive into mainstream investors’ exploration of climate tech and sustainability themes.
