Melanie Danuser
Director of Education and Training @Smart Buildings Center and Northwest Efficiency Council
Melanie has spent her career in the power and energy efficiency industries and worked with utilities throughout the United States. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from West Virginia University with a focus on Organization Development, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Her work entails serving the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council and Smart Buildings Center as Director of the Building Operator Certification program. The Building Operator Certification program is a training and credentialing program offering certification to building operators and technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in energy-efficient facilities systems.
Roger Ebbage
Director, Energy Management and Water Conservation Programs @Lane Community College
Roger Ebbage is an Association of Energy Engineers Certified Energy Manager. Ebbage has been the director of the Energy Management and Water Conservation Programs at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, since 1992. He currently, serves as a Principal Investigator (PI) on two NSF ATE project grants and is a DoE Energy Efficiency award PI. Roger is a Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) on the NSF ATE CREATE National Renewable Energy Center and a University of Oregon NSF mentoring program called COACHs. Roger is the Building Operator’s Certification (BOC) program Manager for BOC Oregon. He is the Board Chair for the Association of Controls Professionals (ACP) and is a founding and continuing member of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
Justin Fallstrom
Regional Director Western Washington Energy @McKinstry
Justin is the Regional Director of McKinstry’s Western Washington Energy team, whose focus is on partnering with clients to improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings. The mission of McKinstry is to make every building they touch more efficient through their design, construction, service, consulting, and energy efficiency offerings. He has a degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and has been in the Seattle construction industry for over 21 years, working primarily in the retrofit and renovation space. He is passionate about upgrading the existing building stock to be more efficient while preserving their architectural character.
