Net Zero: The role of local action
Please join us for an online session to discuss the role of local authorities to meet Net Zero.

This event considers the Climate Change Committee’s advice on the Sixth Carbon Budget and delves into how local authorities can help deliver Net Zero. It will include discussion of a new supplementary report, published alongside the Sixth Carbon Budget, looking at the role of the UK’s local authorities in delivering the Net Zero transition.

The event will include contributions from the CCC and Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees

• The event will be chaired by Professor Piers Forster, committee Member and Director of the Priestley International Centre for Climate and Professor of Physical Climate Change at the University of Leeds
• Guest speaker Marvin Rees, Mayor of Bristol
• Presentation from the CCC secretariat and Louise Marix Evans
The session will include time for comments and questions to the panel
