Overview:
Nearly three years after the nation's “racial reckoning,” the necessity and public demand to create inclusive practices have been a focus across many sectors, creating an opportunity for the research and insights field to re-evaluate the industry standards of inclusivity in project design. Now, more than ever, insight practitioners are responsible for ensuring they are culturally responsive and can illustrate a sincere inclusion of various perspectives and ideologies in their project design. The researcher’s role must be authentic and sensitive to the nuances of diverse communities, but it requires an intentional approach that many seasoned researchers may be unfamiliar with. Inclusive research design highlights a proactive dedication to change, which can strengthen the researcher-respondent relationship, thus contributing to richer data. This 60-minute session will discuss how to design culturally inclusive research projects and:

Equip attendees with the tools to incorporate inclusive practices internally from project conception through data analysis.
Facilitate an understanding of culturally inclusive messaging and research design
Provide best practices on applying a critical approach in data collection and analysis when working with diverse populations
It is our responsibility as insight professionals to ensure our project design, recruitment, discussion guides and other elements are representative of diverse experiences and perspectives.
