Strengthening Support for California’s Family, Friend, and Neighbor Providers

Early Edge California is pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar entitled, Strengthening Support for California’s Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Providers. This summer, Early Edge California and partners released a policy brief that uplifts the critical, but often overlooked, role FFNs play in California’s Early Learning and Care system. This webinar will discuss the challenges FFNs face in accessing supportive resources and livable wages that were raised in the policy brief and provide an opportunity to hear directly from FFNs about their experiences as a provider. The webinar will feature a panel with FFNs and representatives from organizations across the state that work closely to provide supportive services to child care providers, including FFNs. The discussion will focus on successful strategies to increase supports for FFNs, including peer mentorship, professional development, and access to subsidies.
