Third Citizen Theatre Company invites you to join us for our first-ever online event, Digital Dionysia – a 10-week series of new contemporary plays inspired by classical Greek theatre and mythology, written and produced by playwrights and directors from across the country (and beyond!).
Featuring a talented cast of over 50 performers from coast-to-coast (and across the pond), the plays in Digital Dionysia reintroduce familiar characters and settings in ways that are surprising, hilarious, thought-provoking, and always original.

The Oracle Cassandra – Written by Amanda Beveridge, Directed by James Peter Sotis
Synopsis: Cassandra, blessed with the power of prophecy, feels a duty to help guide those who may otherwise be woefully wooed by the gods of ancient Greece, or one god in particular as it seems, and he's not very pleased. Apollo confronts Cassandra about her meddling in his personal relationships, but will he be able to confront his own personal issues before it's too late? Only those with the power of prophecy can tell, the rest will just have to tune in to see.

The Making of Medea's Medea: A Mockumentary Play – Written by Chas Belov, Directed by Peter Sampieri
Synopsis: The Making of Medea's Medea is a mockumentary satire that documents Medea's recent stage play, her modern-day retelling of her ancient story of revenge. We meet Medea, Jason, and the actors who play them. The show seems destined for Broadway until bodies start to fall.
