Our expert panelists will cover a range of topics, including a quick recap of 2020 renewable energy strides, our state’s wind and solar potential, the need to build up our infrastructure, job market and the upcoming 2021 policies that could make or break the industry and our state’s road to recovery.

Lea County earned the moniker due to its diversified industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, and renewable and alternative energies. Missi Currier’s professional career has allowed her to focus on community development, governmental affairs, and communications across New Mexico and Texas, specifically focusing on the Permian Basin. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Partnership, New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry, and Texas Tech University National Alumni Board. She is a graduate of the 2019 Leadership New Mexico Connect class and is proudly involved in various community organizations. She attended Texas Tech University where she earned a PhD, MS and BS in agricultural communications. Missi and her family have lived in southeastern New Mexico for over seven generations. Rikki Seguin (Executive Director @Interwest Energy Alliance) Rikki Seguin is the Executive Director of the Interwest Energy Alliance, a non-profit trade association that represents the nation’s leading companies in the renewable energy industry, bringing them together with regional non-governmental organizations in the West (Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming). Rikki has a long history of community organizing involving clean energy policies. Arcelia Isais-Gastelum (Policy and Partnership Manager @ReNew Mexico) Arcelia is the current lead for the Rural Jobs Now campaign with ReNew Mexico, a coalition of community and economic development organizations, business professionals, and residents who strive to create a renewable energy economy in New Mexico. Arcelia was involved in building grassroots support for renewable energy policies in the state, including for the 2018 Energy Transition Act.
