• A forum where parents/caregivers have the opportunity to ask
questions and/or discuss issues they are having with their
Medicaid MCO (Highmark Health Options or AmeriHealth Caritas).

LOS TEMAS COMUNES DISCUTIDOS INCLUYEN: SOLICITUDES DE COORDINACIÓN DE CUIDADO, HORARIOS DE CUIDADO A DOMICILIO, NEGACION DE SERVICIOS, TERAPIAS, ENFERMERÍA PRIVADA, SUMINISTROS, EQUIPOS Y MEDICAMENTOS.

Families attending and voluntarily sharing individually identifiable health information should be aware that the insurance and Medicaid providers on this call are required to comply with HIPAA. However, there are entities attending the call who are not required to comply with HIPAA. Parent Information Center of Delaware and Delaware Family Voices are not considered "covered entities" (https://www.cms.gov/) and are therefore not required to comply with HIPAA Privacy Rules related to Protected Health Information during the MCO calls. PIC and Family Voices state have signed a confidentiality agreement. Parent and other entities on the call must agree to hol the information gained in the call in strict confidence and will exercise a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others.
