Lindsay offers journal prompts and time for free flow writing as tools writers can use to bypass the logical mind - which has the tendency to control or judge - to meet their innermost message.
“It is a way of breaking our own rules a little bit and allowing ourselves to write the unwritable, to express the thought patterns that have been kept locked away in parts of our psyche unacknowledged. When we allow ourselves to express ourselves fully in the safety of a private journal, we have the opportunity to embrace our wholeness and extend love to the places we may be storing pain. It can be a radical act of self-healing and acceptance or it can just be a simple way of organising thoughts - just depends on where you'd like to take it
