Due to great interest in developing the sectors knowledge on the topic, this follow-up webinar will explore Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implication for service delivery in the sexual violence sector, as well as enhancing understanding of Tauiwi responsibilities regarding Te Tiriti, and the impacts of colonisation and racism on practice and workplaces. This webinar is meant to build on the teachings of the first Te Tiriti Webinar held in July 2022.
Tarapuhi (Ngāti Raukawa ki Te Tonga, Te Ati Haunui-a-Papārangi) is a Wellington based māmā to her son and and caregiver to her two siblings. Tarapuhi works as a lecturer at Victoria University and a designer at TātouTātou consulting. She conducts whānau based research on the impact of historical-trauma, personal trauma, and structural racism on hauora Māori. She works alongside design teams and co-designers to employ Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a foundational design framework in a range of industries including health, the arts, and violence prevention.
