A digital roundtable exploring the concept of home. The panel will include journalist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Salopek, three distinguished speakers from diverse Chicago neighborhoods, and the Out of Eden Walk-Chicago team.

Paul Salopek:
-Journalist, writer, and National Geographic Fellow currently embarked on the 21,000-mile Out of Eden Walk across the globe
-Speaking on the concept of home in faraway cultures

Speakers:
Emily Lansana: Bronzeville
-Professional storyteller and Associate Director of Community Arts Engagement at University of Chicago
Peg Keiner: Logan Square
-National Geographic Fellow, Ambassador for the United Nations Association Chicago Chapter, and Director of Innovation at GEMS World Academy
Moshe Tossmat: West Loop
-Lifelong Innovator and founder of True West Loop, the largest and most active neighborhood forum with more than 10,000 members.

Audience members will be able to ask questions of the speakers and to learn how to create a HomeStory on our interactive map. We hope you can join us as we walk Chicago through our panelists’ hearts and eyes.

Out of Eden Walk-Chicago builds understanding and dialogue through grassroots storytelling, crowdsourced cartography, and neighborhood walks.
