You have worked very hard on your research and the time has finally come to presenting it to the others at a scientific conference! This can be the most fun part of doing research given how happy it makes us to see people getting interested in our work and making actual impact. But “How to give an interesting talk for a SIGCOMM/NSDI or similar audience?”
Conferences are generally crowded events packed with many back to back talks on various topics. Plus, each talk is a presentation of complex work on hard-to-solve problems that require a lot of thinking. The audience may not be able to easily catch the important takeaways from every single talk if it has not been carefully designed to do so.
In this panel, excellent speakers from our community will discuss useful tips on how to prepare and deliver our talks to help audience follow and enjoy. They will also share their experience about challenging aspect of delivering such talks and answer questions raised by the participants.
