Wild Neighbors Speaker Series: Diversity and Evolution of Texas Salamanders
Ruben Tovar received his bachelor's from The University of Texas at Arlington and his master's in Biology at Texas State University. He has collaborated with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center to breed Texas blind salamanders, San Marcos salamanders, and Barton Springs salamanders for his research. Ruben is now a Ph.D. Candidate at The University of Texas at Austin. His presentation will focus on the evolution and development of cave salamanders from central Texas.
