Listening to Women Migrants: What we can learn about making reproductive health care more accessible

One in three women who give birth in Australia were born overseas. Despite this, evidence shows that the maternal health outcomes of women from migrant and refugee background are worse than for other women in Australia. Drawing on the work of the Multicultural Women’s Health Centre and Women’s Health Tasmania’s research with women on temporary visas, we’ll explore why the experiences are so different and what we can start doing to change it.
