Kenny Anderson
Multicultural Affairs Officer @City of Huntsville
Kenneth Anderson is a nationally certified counselor with over thirty years of experience in the mental health profession. He is a graduate of Oakwood University (B.A., Psychology, and Alabama A&M University (M.S., Clinical Psychology, 1990). On January 25, 2013, he was appointed Multicultural Affairs Officer for the City of Huntsville by Mayor Tommy Battle after spending 16 years at Calhoun Community College, most recently as Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. In this position, Mr. Anderson acts as a liaison between the city and the community on multicultural issues, programs and activities that include citywide projects that strengthen organizational systems. Kenneth is a past Chairman of the United Way of Madison County, Interfaith Mission Service’s Racial Harmony Coalition and is a former member of the City of Huntsville’s Human Relations Commission. He currently serves on the boards of Partnership for a Drug Free Community, First Stop, Inc., among others.
