Sterilization Quality Control for the Ambulatory Surgery Center
Overview:
Ensuring surgical instruments and devices are appropriately cleaned and sterilized prior to use are essential elements of infection prevention. While the same standards and regulations for sterilization and instrument processing apply to both ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) and larger healthcare facilities, sterilization and quality control in device reprocessing can create some unique challenges for ASCs. Join us for this virtual event to learn more about tools, guidelines and best practices for sterilization and quality control monitoring for instrument reprocessing in the ASC.

Objectives:
- Review sterilization modalities typically used in the ambulatory setting
- Describe available sterilization monitoring tools
- Discuss current guidelines and recommended practices for quality control monitoring of steam and vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VH202) processes
