30 Years of US-Kazakh Relations
In late 1991, the Republic of Kazakhstan declared its independence from the then-USSR. Only days later, the United States and the fledgling republic opened diplomatic relations, and have remained stalwart partners for 30 years across a range of issues, including regional engagement, nuclear security and nonproliferation, and economic cooperation. Join the NCAFP as we partner with the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York to look back on 30 years of partnership between the United States and Kazakhstan, and look forward to areas for continued cooperation in the future.
