Participating in regular physical activity we know improves emotional health and wellbeing. Yet, when children become teenagers they become less active, with only 7.9 percent of 13 to 17 years olds meeting the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s national physical activity guidelines. With the overlay of the pandemic, parents are now facing the additional challenges of screen time to worry about on top of stay at home orders.
In our upcoming LIVE coaching on November 5, we are focusing on teenagers, and the specific challenges around keeping teens active during the pandemic. We will discuss the barriers holding teens back, strategies to inspire your teenagers to get more active, and explore the role sport can play in building healthy communities.
Grace Papers founder and CEO, Prue Gilbert, will host the discussion and a live Q&A will run at the end of the event. Panellists will be announced shortly.
