This conference is part of a project by the Blue Ridge Music Center that began in 2020, honoring the one hundredth anniversary of women being granted the right to vote and follows the release of ten video interviews with women musicians and music industry professionals that were premiered in January
The conference will feature female musicians and industry professionals involved in behind-the-scenes roles in music to speak on various topics related to the women in music, such as what women bring to the table, how to create more and better opportunities for women, the importance of mentorship, and promotion/support of women including issues such as equal pay and equal representation.
