Russia and the West: Before and After the War
As we approach the first anniversary of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, people across the globe find themselves asking old questions with new urgency: What exactly is the relationship between Russia and the West? Civilizationally, how much do the two regions share? What are we to make of Russia’s undeniable autocratic streak? How does the war in Ukraine shape these dynamics? What historical factors should we pay attention to?

We invite you to join the Charles Malik Institute at 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 7th, as we explore these questions and more with acclaimed political philosopher Dr. David Tubbs.

Dr. Tubbs received his PhD. in politics from Princeton University and has authored numerous publications on political philosophy, public policy, and contemporary controversies in constitutional law. He has received recognition for his academic excellence and has lectured at prestigious institutions across Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
