Every community struggles with land use issues at some point in time. The reasons often are related to the impacts associated with the use, public reaction, or inadequate regulations. Some of these difficulties may be unique to the characteristics of your town, village, or city, such as farmland conservation, economic development, or historic preservation. Others are shared across many community contexts, such as the pressures of new technologies, changing markets, and demographic shifts. What land use conflicts or concerns are you facing and how is it going? This will be an interactive session with learning opportunities based on the audience’s collective experiences. In advance of this session we intend to send out a brief online survey to help us focus our session on your specific local land use issues. Please register before October 1st to be included in the email with the online survey link. If you miss the survey, that’s ok! We welcome all to attend and participate in the discussion.
