Bryan Thomas from the Building Appeals Board (BAB) joins Nikki Jovicic from LookUpStrata to inform lot owners of the role the BAB plays and how they may be able to assist if you have a cladding problem in your building.
The Building Code of Australia requires the external walls of a building to be non-combustible. The Victorian Building Authority generally considers that all combustible cladding should be replaced by non-combustible cladding. However, via the BAB, an owner may be able to apply for a determination that only partial removal of combustible cladding is required.
Join us as Bryan Thomas from the BAB runs us through this process and explains the role of the Building Appeals Board and how they can assist Victorian lot owners.
