Walter Reed Middle School’s PTSA is proud to present this hour long presentation about climate change, in partnership with The Climate Reality Project (www.climaterealityproject.org), an organization founded by former US Vice President Al Gore. In this interactive presentation designed for Walter Reed students and their families, we’ll explore a range of questions, including:
What is the reality of climate change?
What’s the science behind our knowledge that the planet is getting warmer?
What’s been happening with the weather around the world lately?
How is the climate crisis affecting the Los Angeles area?
What are potential solutions for climate change?
Are there reasons for hope?
What are some actions we can take to make things better?
The presenters will be Matt Almos, who works as a creative director for live entertainment and theme parks, and Lois Keller, a visual artist and member of Walter Reed’s PTSA. The presentation is part of 24 Hours of Reality: Countdown to the Future — a digital, global conversation about the importance of this current moment and the actions we can take to help create a better future (www.24hoursofreality.org).
