Learning from South East Asia: What does the ‘new normal’ look like?
Our webinars have covered many security issues in many countries, and this theme continues with a specific focus on South East Asia, it will build on a previous webinar that highlighted some key issues earlier in the pandemic. What makes this particularly important is that Asian countries including are frequently seen – particularly by many in the West – as setting examples in good security practice. Having experienced virus attacks before they are seen to be more advanced in their thinking in how to respond. This webinar will explore the security experience in the region, looking at the key learnings from the events of the last year, what it sees as its most effective security approaches and areas where security performance is less than optimal, and what it can teach us about the ’new normal’. This webinar will:

• Explore the factors that have characterised the region’s response to Covid-19
• Examine the areas where security has been tested
• Discuss the implications for the type of security that will emerge in the ‘new normal’
