Together We Advance an Inclusive Nursing Profession - A Model for Mitigating and Responding to Racism, Discrimination, and Microaggressions
A bystander training workshop hosted by the American Academy of Nursing's Diversity and Inclusivity Committee
This bystander training workshop, open to Fellows and other stakeholders of the American Academy of Nursing (Academy), will discuss how individuals and institutions can make informed decisions about how to respond to an interaction or event that undermines inclusion. This event builds upon the Academy's 2019 policy dialogue, Responding and Reacting to Microaggressions, and the 2020 Institute for Nursing Leadership's Critical Conversation on Health Equity and Racism, and will set the tone for the Academy's 2021 Health Policy Conference. This event will be free to all attendees and 1.5 contact hours will be offered.
