This online workshop is intended to prime the training workshop that was planned for Georgia (Telavi and Tblisi). The event focuses on University-Industry cooperation and will present a number of case studies from the partner institutions, from disciplines related to the Vita Global project.
The meeting is unique because of several reasons:
• First representatives of other Georgian universities are invited on the workshop that are not the members of the project. They will share experiences and also learn about the project, which will help to increase its relevance at national level in Georgia.
• Second, it is hosted by Telavi State University, which is situated in Kakheti, in wine making region of Georgia, where university industry collaboration in the viticultural sector has sharpened its focus.
• Last but not least, the main topic of the workshop coincides one of the main priorities of education system in Georgia that focuses the strengthening links between higher educational institutions and Industries, as main drivers of local and regional development.
This workshop is a means to explore in more depth specific objectives of the Vita Global project, which frames academic cooperation with industries in the viticulture sector and looks at approaches, strategies and international good practices.
