What do Americans think about the role the United States should be playing in the world? How do they conceive of the different trade-offs between domestic and international affairs, among competing options and sets of interests and values? We are starting to get a clearer snapshot of public opinion on these issues through some recent reports—among them the "Vox Populi" report issued by the Eurasia Group Foundation, the "Rejecting Retreat" report of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the Carnegie Council "What Do Americans Think?" project.
Carnegie Council is very pleased to welcome Mark Hannah, senior fellow at the Eurasia Group Foundation, and Dina Smleltz, senior fellow, public opinion and foreign policy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, as our honored speakers in a virtual Zoom webinar. Held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, they will discuss "Vox Populi: What Americans Think About Foreign Policy" with Carnegie Council Senior Fellow Nikolas K. Gvosdev.
