More Films For Freedom Webinar
More Films for Freedom is a unique programme, jointly run by BFI NETWORK, British Council and BFI Flare, which commissions three short films with an LGBTIQ+ theme from collaborative teams from the Middle East, African continent, and the UK.

In this special event you’ll meet the team behind The Men Who Speak Gayle – a touching, upbeat, and funny story about a secret gay language – made as a collaboration between UK-based producers Georgie Paget and Thembisa Cochrane (Caspian Films), and South African-based director Andrew Brukman and performer Nathan Kennedy.

Then you’ll hear more about how to apply for More Films Round 2 led by Jessica Loveland (Head of BFI Network) and Briony Hanson (Director of Film, British Council) before the application deadline on 16 August.
