She has previously served as dean of the college of business at James Madison University and Elon University, and as associate dean for undergraduate programs at The George Washington University. Her global experience includes teaching for the Helsinki School of Economics and Business with appointments in Finland and South Korea, directing programs in France and Belgium, and leading student study experiences to England, Vietnam, and Singapore. Gowan is a management scholar whose research and teaching have focused on human resources, career issues, and work transitions. In addition to co-authoring a textbook on human resource management, she has provided consulting and executive education programs for numerous public, private, and non-profit organizations. Her extensive volunteer experience includes serving on the BGS Board of Governors. Dr. Bob G. Wood (@University of South Alabama) Dr. Bob G. Wood was named dean of the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama (“South”) in July 2014. As dean, Wood works with Mitchell faculty, the university, and external constituents to enhance the Mitchell student experience. He also works with the community to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new relationships to better prepare students for the 21st century global economy. During Wood’s tenure at South, the Executive Advisory Council membership was significantly expanded and regionalized. Also, center and discipline-specific advisory councils were created. The Professional Readiness Engagement Program, a professional development and internship program was developed and implemented. Before Wood joined the Mitchell College, he served four years as dean of the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. As dean, he led the redesign of the longstanding student entrepreneurship competition. Christina Allrich (@Beta Gamma Sigma) Christina Allrich is currently the Acting Executive Director of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society. During her seven-year tenure with BGS Global HQ, she has had responsibility for chapter, member and alumni relationships and support. Most recently, Christina acted as the Director of Chapter Operations. While in this role, she oversaw a collegiate chapter network of over 600 chapters across 38 countries, 45 alumni groups and a network of over 875,000 lifetime members. Currently based in St. Louis, Missouri USA, Christina holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in communications and marketing. She became a lifetime Beta Gamma Sigma member in 2017. Christina has spent her career working in both the education and non-profit industries and previously led a collegiate-level career services department. She is a proud member of the PMI of St. Louis chapter and is a volunteer with Junior Achievement and Special Olympics.
